What golfers usually want to fix
The slice
A slice usually comes from a clubface that is open to the path, often with a swing that cuts across the ball from out to in. Ask Observe why your ball is curving and what to change.
Tempo and transition
Rushing the change of direction at the top costs power and consistency. Seeing your swing back lets you spot it, which is hard to feel in the moment.
Posture and balance
Staying in your posture through the swing and finishing balanced on your lead side are two of the simplest checks of a repeatable swing.
Putting stroke
Face control, stroke path and a quiet head decide most putts. A short clip is enough to review them.
How Observe helps

See yourself improve
Re-observe over time to compare your clips and see how your technique is changing.
How to film your golf swing
- Down the line: stand behind the ball on the target line, with the phone around hand height.
- Face on: place the phone square to your chest, level with your hands.
- Keep your whole body and the club in frame from address to finish.
- Use good light and keep the phone steady. A small tripod or a bag leaning against a water bottle works.

Can I analyse my golf swing with just a phone?
Yes. A steady 10–15 second clip filmed from behind or face on is usually enough to get useful feedback from Observe.
Can Observe help with my slice?
You can ask Observe a question about your swing, such as why the ball is curving, and get a specific answer based on your clip, plus a visual fix to work on.
Does Observe replace a golf coach?
No. Observe gives AI-generated guidance to support your practice. It is not a substitute for a qualified coach, and many golfers use it between lessons.
