What people usually want to check

Hip alignment

In poses like Warrior I and II, hips that open too early or sit unevenly change the whole shape of the pose. Ask Observe whether your hips are square.

Knee and foot position

A front knee drifting past the ankle, or a back foot at the wrong angle, can put strain where you do not want it. Seeing it on video makes it obvious.

Spine and shoulders

Lengthening through the spine and relaxing the shoulders is easy to feel and hard to see. Observe can point out when you are rounding or hunching.

Balance and stability

Wobbling in balancing poses often starts with the standing foot or the gaze. Re-observe over time to see your steadiness improve.

How Observe helps

01

Video it

Record a short clip of yourself on your phone. Ten to fifteen seconds is enough.

02

Get feedback

Observe's AI gives you clear, specific feedback. Ask a question about your Observation and get a visual fix to work on.

03

See yourself improve

Re-observe over time to compare your clips and see how your technique is changing.

How to film it

  • Film side-on for most standing poses, and from the front for poses where symmetry matters.
  • Place the phone at about hip height, far enough away that your whole body and mat are in frame.
  • Hold the pose for a few breaths so Observe sees you settled in it, not just moving into it.
  • Good, even lighting helps. Avoid filming straight into a bright window.
